Stay Away from Smoke, Stay Close to Health

The Truth Behind the Smoke

One afternoon, a strange, sharp smell drifted through the village. Someone had lit a cigarette nearby, and curious children moved closer. Huggie swooped in, spreading his wings protectively: “Hold on—let’s learn the truth about smoke first.”

The Body Talks

DoctorSung projected an animation showing how smoke affects the lungs: blackened air sacs, constricted airways, and a racing heart. “Smoking harms not only the smoker but also everyone nearby through secondhand smoke.”

Huggie held up a chart: “Nicotine creates addiction—it makes your brain crave another puff.” She explained that smoking wasn’t just a habit; it rewired the brain. “But the good news is, the brain can relearn how to live without it.”

Little Lungs, Big Action

Children joined the “Little Lungs, Big Action” game, where they ran a relay with balloons strapped to their backs to simulate lungs. Mid-race, they gasped, “So that’s why smoking makes it hard to run!”

The Courage to Quit

One villager stepped forward to share their story of quitting: “At first, it was really tough. But when I started walking or drinking water instead of lighting up, I realized—I can choose.”

A Smoke-Free Promise

At the end, everyone wrote “I Will” promise cards. Some pledged never to start, others vowed to help friends quit, and one said, “I will protect my children from secondhand smoke.” The cards were hung on the “Smoke-Free Tree,” fluttering in the breeze.
